Harry Kane delivered another outstanding performance as England cruised to a 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic at Wembley. The England captain scored twice and continued his remarkable scoring run in the Nations League.
Kane was once again at the heart of England’s attacking display, finding the net twice against the Czech Republic. The third goal came through an own goal.
With his brace, Kane’s international tally has risen to 91 goals. He is now just one goal behind Robert Lewandowski, who has scored 92 times for his country. Kane is also closing in on Romelu Lukaku (94) and Sunil Chhetri (95), while Cristiano Ronaldo leads the all-time international scoring chart with 146 goals, followed by Lionel Messi with 126 and Ali Daei with 108.
Kane also reached a major milestone before the match. His appearance against the Czech Republic was his 125th for England, moving him level with former goalkeeper Peter Shilton for the most appearances in the country’s history.
Kane already holds the record for most goals scored for England. His latest brace shows that he is now focused on extending that record even further.
The 33-year-old striker has scored in four consecutive Nations League matches. After finding the net once in each of his first two games, Kane has scored twice in each of his last two matches.
His current form is a major boost for England. As Kane continues to break personal records, his goals are also helping the Three Lions strengthen their attacking threat on the international stage.
