Pritam Hasan and Shehtaz Announce Divorce, Reveal Reason for Separation

Bangladeshi singer and actor Pritam Hasan and model-actress and singer Shehtaz Monira Hashem are ending their marriage. The couple has decided to part ways due to differences in their mutual understanding, announcing the decision separately on Facebook on Sunday night.

Pritam said in his statement that they had decided to end their marital relationship after nearly a decade together. He also made it clear that the decision was not made suddenly.

According to Pritam, the couple reached the decision after careful consideration, discussions between themselves and with the support and consent of their families.

He expressed gratitude for the time, memories and experiences they shared, adding that they will always maintain respect and good wishes for each other. The couple is currently going through the divorce process.

Shehtaz also shared a similar statement on Facebook. She said that after nearly a decade together, they had mutually and amicably decided to end their relationship.

Shehtaz explained that over time, they realized that differences in their mutual understanding made it better for both of them to move forward separately.

She also expressed gratitude for the memories they created together and said that her respect and best wishes for Pritam would always remain.

After being in a long-term relationship, Pritam and Shehtaz got married on October 29, 2022, at a hotel in Sreemangal in the presence of their family members and close friends.

The couple first became acquainted while working together on Pritam’s popular song “Jadukar”. Shehtaz appeared as the model in the song’s music video, and their professional relationship eventually developed into a romantic relationship.

Following their marriage, the couple frequently shared moments from their life together on social media. They were also seen together at the wedding ceremony of singer Jefer Rahman and Rafsan Sabab in January this year.

However, according to people close to them, their relationship had reportedly not been going well for some time. There had also been discussions among people close to the couple about their possible separation.

Pritam and Shehtaz have requested friends, colleagues and the media to respect their privacy during this period of change and to approach the matter with sensitivity and empathy.
